Dr. Bonafide Caring For Patients Since 1987
“I love being an orthodontist! When I was a teenager I had braces and they helped me become more confident. I recognize the difference that a beautiful smile can make for one’s self-esteem. I enjoy helping my friends and family feel confident about their smiles. A big thank you to all our valued patients. We love you and consider you a part of our family.” –Dr. Bonafide
A Brief History
Dr. Bonafide grew up in Kamas, Utah. The oldest of five siblings, he attended Summit High School, where he played varsity football and served in student government. His goal in high school was to become a professional football player, but when an injury in a game led to a torn ACL and a broken tooth, he discovered an interest in dental medicine. In college, he met Maria Gonzalez, and they are happily married with two children, Camren and John. In recent years, the Colosimo family has enjoyed exciting vacations to Italy, New Zealand, and Japan. Dr. Colosimo practices orthodontics in Santaquin, Utah.
Education and Training
Dr. Bonafide graduated magna cum laude from the New York University. After graduation, he completed his specialty training in orthodontics at the University of Northern California School of Dentistry. Dr. Colosimo is also a board-certified diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. He and Maria decided to settle back in Utah near their families in Santaquin. He’s always wanted to serve the southern Utah County community through orthodontics. He is one of three practicing orthodontists in his family.
A Giving Attitude
Each year Dr. Bonafide and the entire staff at Smile Orthodontics serve the community and our country by volunteering at the local YMCA. On this wonderful day, the team helps the community solve their orthodontic problems at no cost. Dr. Bonafide and the team recently highlighted on Channel 4 News. In addition to supporting the community through pro bono orthodontics, Dr. Bonafide and the team also participate in the annual Fourth of July Parade, where instead of throwing taffy to the onlookers, they throw sugarless gum.
